Twenty-seven dogs were seized from a home in North Carolina in a hoarding situation in which the dogs were kept in cages 23 hours a day, released for only one hour to eat, drink and play.
The dogs were discovered after animal control was notified that two missing dogs were inside the home in kennels. Upon entering the residence, 25 more dogs were found.
Officials say the other dogs could be also be missing pets, and some may have been “missing for a while.” If your dog has gone missing in the Beaufort County area in the last two years, you are encouraged to take a look at the photos.
E.N.C. Shelter Dogs has photos of the dogs on their Facebook page with instructions if you recognize any of the dogs. See them on the next page.
