She has been at Villalobos since she was 8-weeks-old,
now in the winter of her life, Summer is adopted.
Why is it that some dogs, even though they adorable, affectionate, and cuddly, wiggly puppies, just don't get adopted? And as they grow, even though they are sweet, beautiful dogs who love people and other pets, are still overlooked? Why? Does life have something special in store?
“I could not give you an exact number at this point,” Tia is talking, “how many dogs have come through our gates in the last 20-25 years…thousands?”
But sweet Summer has been with Tia and her family the longest. She's been at Villalobos since she was 8-weeks-old. She literally grew up with Tia's kids.
With her advanced age, old and crippled, with severe arthritis and other medical issues, Tia is saying, “We were pretty much resigned that Summer would be with us till her last days.”
But then an amazing thing happened. “We got an application specifically for Summer!” Tia continues.
Summer's story continues on the next page with the video.
