How much time does it take to give a life meaning? A second? A day? Two days? A pup named Bodie had only eight weeks of life when he was found on the streets.
The next eight weeks found him living in a high kill shelter. He was just four months old when his days were literally numbered. That number was two–only 48 hours of life remained for Bodie who was now on death row.
That's when it happened.
That's when Emily, his rescuing angel, came to the shelter to check out dogs on death to see if they could be candidates for service dogs for disabled veterans.
This was his last chance at life. Bodie gave it all he had to charm Emily when she took him from his kennel to evaluate him as a possible candidate for vets with PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder). He even brought her his leash and a tennis ball.
Bodie left the shelter with Emily. But Bodie's story and his very special purpose in life is just beginning to unfold.
Bodie's Story continues on the next page with a video.
